August 2023 Honoree
Amy G Jackson, RN, BSN
Amy was the best nurse that I’ve ever had. She was supportive and there with me throughout the entire experience. I am certain I could not have done such a great job in my labor without her. When I came in, I was so nervous to have a similar experience to my first birth which wasn’t that great it was stressful, and I felt alone in the experience. From the moment I walked into the door, she lifted my burdens off my shoulders. She made sure that I felt comfortable and confident in my labor experience. I felt that there were so many times that she wouldn’t leave my side and made sure if there was anything she could do she would do it. Many times, I feel like the needs and desires of patients are overlooked and just trying to rush patients in and out as someone who works in healthcare, but she doesn’t do that at all. She makes sure that you are taken care of and you feel HEARD. I prayed so many times to have someone just like her. One of my most treasured and the greatest blessings was having her as a nurse when I delivered my sweet baby girl L. I remember as many women do, being in labor and being embarrassed about the pain that I was in, and she made me feel so much better about myself and not feel embarrassed or ashamed of anything. She was positive and made me believe that I could do anything. I have never seen someone so devoted to their patients as her. I am more thankful than I can ever say that she was there, and I will NEVER forget what she did for me and the entire team at Nash Women’s Center.
Thank you, Amy G, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
