This was pure compassion for a person who just needed help, a smile, and comfort. That’s how I see this nurse, compassionate and comforting.
I would like to nominate this nurse for many reasons. She has provided me with unbelievable emotional support, education, and patience over the years as I’ve been seeing a certain physician. She’s thoughtful, always happy to help, and makes me feel heard.

But that isn’t the main reason I would love to see her be honored. I had been into the clinic and was on my way out when I stopped in the restroom on the 3rd floor by the ENT Clinic. I noticed a woman in the handicapped stall, the door was open, she was on the toilet, on her phone crying. She had unfortunately had an accident, and she was calling someone to bring her clothing, but she had nothing to clean herself with. I knew this nurse would help or get help, so I ran back to the clinic and asked her, and without batting an eye, she grabbed a bunch of things to help the woman. I took this nurse into the restroom and introduced her. This nurse didn’t just give the woman the items; she offered to help her clean up.

I understand that’s what nurses do, but this was pure compassion for a person who just needed help, a smile, and comfort. That’s how I see this nurse, compassionate and comforting. She’s worth her weight in gold!
