Her enthusiasm to make things happen is contagious and staff feeling supported. Amy prompts the positive image of nursing.
Amy demonstrates compassion by focusing on common goals and maintaining a commitment to quality outcomes in an all-inclusive collaborative environment between nursing areas at CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs. She advocates for doing things for the right reasons and making sure initiatives are feasible. She demonstrates exemplary practice every day by putting forth her personal and professional best. She aligned the goals of nursing with the organization's mission. She holds herself and others accountable, meeting deadlines and providing feedback in a timely manner. She promotes research.  She promotes and facilitates decision making to improve patient care. Amy is called to teach, role model, and guide current and future nurses. Amy does a great job at supporting others and making them comfortable to ask questions. She makes rounds on off shifts to connect with that staff as well as the day staff.  Amy does requires coordination between nurses throughout all of CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs. She does an excellent job at listening and addressing issues before they become a problem which has helped with the efficiency and effectiveness of their Practice Partnership Council. Amy connects staff to key individuals so they can be successful. Amy has referred multiple staff members, staff that have returned to school and students to me to guide them through our nursing research process and to assist with breaking down barriers. Her enthusiasm to make things happen is contagious and staff feeling supported. Amy prompts the positive image of nursing. Her guidance and leadership with the council has gained momentum each year. She has developed meaningful relationships with members and the community members.  Amy promotes initiatives and reinforces proven best practices such as intentional hourly rounding, bedside shift report; she even takes her turn at doing leader rounding. She follows up on concerts and shares successes.
