I had a cervical fusion performed at 2 levels and was in a great deal of pain. This was my only experience staying overnight in a hospital except for the birth of my daughter. Amy was so friendly and warm. She made me feel at ease. She explained to me what to expect in terms of medication, doctors visiting me, and other hospital protocols. Amy kept telling me I was a great patient and my pressing the nurse call button was no bother. She insisted that she was very happy. This made me feel better as I was not allowed to get up on my own, which meant I had to hit the nurse call button frequently. Amy offered me items like water, ice, and yogurt to help soothe my throat after the neck surgery. Amy saw to my every request and she anticipated my needs. This is my first time at Brandywine Hospital and the entire experience has blown me away. The care the compassion by Amy and all other staff I have interacted with has been phenomenal.
