I wanted to take a moment, while I’m here at the Riverwalk Surgery Center waiting for my husband, to take a minute and acknowledge an exceptional member of the OR staff, Amy.

Prior to my husband being prepped for surgery, Amy made sure to go above and beyond with providing comforting words to my daughter and me. After being discharged, my husband noticed what he thought was post-op bleeding, but unfortunately, it turned into post-op hemorrhaging. Upon getting my husband back upstairs, Amy immediately applied pressure to his surgical site while awaiting assistance from the surgeon.

Once all was said and done and the bleeding was resolved, Amy made it a point to approach my daughter and me to offer apologies and provide further clarification on the issue at hand. Needless to say, she instantly calmed our nerves and gave us the peace of mind that we so desperately needed. Amy is an exceptional member of the Riverwalk Surgery Center staff who demonstrates hard work and dedication.
