The Pediatric Pod is now open! This reflects the dedication and determination of our unit leader, Amy Hursh. It has taken many months (years, really!) to see this project to completion. Through the many hurdles and setbacks, Amy has continued to do whatever was needed to make this project a reality for our unit and the community of Hanover.

In addition to all the 'behind the scenes' work Amy has completed, she personally works to see that the challenges of staffing this unit are met by working on the floor as a peds RN or taking on call time for the unit. Her love for the unit is visible, and she has truly made a difference with her vision and enthusiasm for pediatrics. This new peds pod has streamlined the patient flow and enhanced the support between the combined women's/child unit!
