Amy very carefully made sure to disturb me as little as possible so I could rest.
I was admitted to St. Luke's with an illness. My doctors diagnosed my illness as two separate unrelated issues. An antibiotic-resistant gut infection and simultaneous auto-immune severe inflammation of my ear. Amy was my nurse. She worked beyond her normal night shift as she was filling in for a day shift nurse who was not available. Because I was so ill, I was utterly exhausted. Amy very carefully made sure to disturb me as little as possible so I could rest. Instead of separate visits from the tech to do vitals, then an hour later RN for hanging new meds to my IV, Amy organized everything to happen at once. Last night I was able to go to sleep at my normal time and get some real rest. I felt so much better after some solid hours of sleep. I really think that good sleep has made a tremendous difference in my healing process. Thank you Amy for the extra time and care you took to organize and minimize the interruptions so I could heal.
