I brought my mother in for her yearly infusion. The nurse who took care of my mom was Amy B. I was allowed to stay with my mom during the procedure, which helped with her anxiety. Nurse Amy was so sweet and calm. She explained everything she was doing. She did an amazing job educating us on the meds she was giving my mom. The entire appointment was calming, and we learned a great deal. My mom asked if the hospital was Catholic, and Amy shared the history she knew of the hospital. She was doing all this while working at an even pace, neither too slow nor too fast. In most of my mother's other medical appointments, the staff are very rushed and in a non-personal mode. It was great to have a nurse who cared about my mom. Amy went above and beyond her call of duty, we feel.
