My two-year-old son came to visit, and Amy made sure that he felt important in his new role as a big brother. When it was time for our newborn’s first bath, Amy waited until our son was visiting and pulled a chair over to allow him to participate. With such a pivotal transition from one child to two, Amy acknowledged this transition and helped support our family with just this small interaction. My son, who wasn’t even Amy’s patient, still talks about the love, compassion, and respect the Labor and Delivery staff showed him.
