Amy Keeler, MSN, RN

We are nominating Amy Keeler for the DAISY Award for her exceptional care during our postpartum experience. After our baby’s birth, we faced uncertainties about her and her mama’s health and medical procedures. Amy observed our concerns, explained everything patiently, and reassured us throughout the process. She advocated for us by voicing our concerns to the medical team, ensuring that decisions were made with us, not for us. This approach made us feel respected, valued, and in control of our own health. Though we are generally easy-going, Amy involved the entire team to review our situation and make the best decision together. Additionally, she checked on us regularly, providing comfort and support. She even took the time to teach us an amazing swaddle technique, which has been incredibly helpful. Amy made a significant difference during a vulnerable time, and we are deeply grateful for her exceptional care and advocacy.
