March 2013 Honoree
amy kidwell, RN
Amy's patient deteriorated enough that her condition as stated by the physicians was technically "end of life."
This patient had been a frequent flyer within the last few years. 9 South staff knew her pretty well. Her only desire left in life was that she wanted to skate.
Amy went above and beyond to make that happen for the patient. With help, the patient was given roller skates and her wish fulfilled. The smile she had after that experience was priceless.
Her attitude changed..that one action truly lifted her spirits.

Thank you, Amy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
