Amy Kruger, BSN, CCRN

Our family member has had several visits to the PICU. On this visit, he had to get a trach on his first birthday. We were so scared, but Amy was calming and informative regarding his procedure. Amy has a heart of compassion for her patients. Teaching is in her blood. She also knows it is a two-way street. She learns from the families of her patients and she listens to us. She has made our family feel special - but I suspect she does that for all her patients. She comes by and checks on our child even when she doesn't have him as a patient. She also came to visit us when we moved to a different unit - continuing to show her amazing compassion. She is an excellent preceptor for student nurses during clinical rotations in the unit too.
