December 2025 Honoree
Amy L Stepanovich, RN
My husband of 63 years was diagnosed with heart disease many years ago. After numerous heart attacks, five-vessel bypass surgery, several stents, and recent hospitalization and catheterizations, his condition was deemed incurable.
It was his decision to contact hospice for home comfort care. Amy was the nurse assigned to his care. I can’t say enough about her. She has been so special to us, providing that special care and comfort. He always showed concern for his treatment and made us both feel comfortable. She has become like family with her friendly and caring personality.
I know that when the time comes, she will be here to hold my hand and comfort me because that’s the kind, sweet person that she is. It truly takes a special person to work in hospice care, and that is Amy.
