Amy has recently picked up the SCN in her educator role and has already gone above and beyond to help us. She came to the staff, asked what we felt we needed, and actively listened to our issues and ideas. She comes to the nursery daily to check on us and update us on how she's moving forward.

One of Amy's best traits is incorporating evidence-based practice and quality improvement. Amy has already helped us with a Maryland Neonatal/Perinatal Quality Program for our infants needing treatment for Hypoglycemia. She is working on changing our mandatory skills to areas that we need help with, such as neonatal resuscitation, and making sure everyone is up to date with STABLE training. These are just a few examples in her short time!

Amy has come into the nursery many times and helped staff to work through situations and give us some strong advice how to deal with situations we are experiencing.

Amy helps to bridge the gap across the ever-flowing continuum between nursing, physicians, management, and ancillary staff. Amy is easy to approach when we have a concern and becomes the middle mediator to help work out the concerns.
