I want to thank Amy from the bottom of my heart. She called me out as a liar when no one ever would. She, in my opinion, has saved my life. Finally having someone tell me I am a liar when I couldn't see I was lying myself. The compassion she showed me was beyond my wildest dreams after what she found out about me. Instead of treating me like dirt she looked to help relieve my pain by talking. I truly believe that this department has one of the most amazing nurses I have ever met. The love for her patients is beyond remarkable and I feel so blessed for what she did for me.
It is an understatement to say that she was meant to be there in that moment to bring clarity to my life when all I saw was darkness. People have looked at me as trash most of my life, but not Amy. She saw me as a human being that was suffering. I truly hope this department recognizes her for the work she did in saving a young man's life. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers and there won't be a day that will go by where knowing that our paths crossed for a reason. I thank her from the bottom of my heart and I hope I can come back from rehab and give her a huge hug for what she did for me. Amy's love for her patients was able to shine through the darkness and suffering we go through and that is a gift only very few have. Thank you Amy!
