Amy Savchenko plays a vital role in supporting our mission by ensuring that our nursing staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and training necessary to provide the highest quality of care to patients in critical situations. By training and educating our nurses on the latest medical advancements, best practices, and emergency protocols, Amy empowers the ED team to deliver prompt, effective, and compassionate care to those in need, ultimately contributing to the well-being and survival of our patients.
Amy Savchenko has displayed exceptional commitment and leadership by conducting a comprehensive gap analysis on sepsis learning needs in the emergency department. She presented her findings to the Quality team and is in the process of using that information to create learning activities on Sepsis for staff. To help kick off September, Sepsis month, Amy will engage staff through interactive activities like a Jeopardy game on sepsis, where staff will scan QR codes under several categories weekly to answer questions related to sepsis! The various shifts will compete against each other and the GME residents to see who wins!
