My 6-year-old daughter was admitted to the PICU. She was involved in a horse accident and had many medical issues we were trying to stabilize. Nurse Amy was a bright light to us during a very scary time. She was kind and patient with my daughter and cared very deeply for her. My daughter had complications along the way causing her condition to remain very serious. Nurse Amy did an amazing job advocating for her care. She spoke to doctors on our behalf to make my daughter more comfortable. I am very grateful for Nurse Amy and her passion for helping sick kids.
She deserves to be recognized because she is an amazing nurse. She even popped in to just say "Hi!" on another shift to check on us and see if we needed anything.
