Amy Mattingly 2, RN

My mother was in the ICU with a multitude of concerns last week. Most people work as a means to an end. A few clearly have passion. Amy embodies the latter. I can’t overstate the value she brings to St. Vincent’s Ascension hospital, at the North Carmel location. She truly has a unique combination of competence, humor, listening, caring, and love. She is tireless and always has a positive attitude.

Fortunately, we had 3 family members that were with mom nearly around the clock. Amy made us feel part of the care team and listened to our input as she cared for mom during her stay. Unfortunately, mom passed away in hospice shortly after leaving ICU. However, Amy had an impact on our family and my mother. In fact, mom shared that she loved Amy and Amy returned the sentiment. This made her last few days more comfortable. Amy went above and beyond her duties and should be recognized for the special person that she is….One of a kind!
