In September I began my journey with ovarian cancer. I had been to a Gynecology Oncologist specialist in Omaha. When I was informed I could get my treatments in Red Oak, I was thrilled. My cancer was at a later stage so it was vital to get started and keep a positive attitude. Luckily, I had excellent care, and Amy McGargill has been with me through this journey. She has been so good about answering all questions and keeping a fun atmosphere during procedure. I always felt like I was very informed of what was happening. The day after my first chemotherapy procedure she called to check on how I was doing, made some suggestions to assist with discomfort, and was so supportive.

When I got to spend the day with them for my 70th birthday, when I went back to my chair, the department had put up birthday streamers and posters. When my daughter and grandson came from Kansas City to put a poster outside, she assisted and it was a great day. Her interaction with the entire team is positive and they each have the other’s back.

Her knowledge and expertise were always evident. With every infusion, she would tell me what I was being given and what it would do. Any off feeling was valid and she adjusted to make it better.
