September 2020 Honoree
amy mcginnis, RN
I recently was a patient at Monument Health. My husband had to drop me off at the front door of the hospital due to the pandemic. I was so scared of being alone until Amy was my nurse. She encouraged me before I went into my procedure. When I was brought back to my room, I was crying due to what they found. It was so hard not having my husband by my side, but Amy stayed in my room and just listened to me as I cried and told her how shocked I was that at my age to need this procedure. She told me I would be OK and said it with such confidence I knew I would be OK. I never felt alone because Amy made sure I wasn't. I could never thank Amy enough for helping me through a hard time. Amy is compassionate and an asset to Monument Health.
Thank you, Amy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
