From the staff to the parents and patients, Amy shows the highest level of compassion and kindness, with deep respect for each individual.
I am nominating Amy, as an exemplary DAISY Leadership Award Nominee. Amy has worked for Mary Bridge for many years and has always risen to the challenges and shown what true leadership skills should be. One of the life moto's Amy lives by is so easy for all of us to follow "BE KIND" and she truly is the shining star of being kind. Often, I have heard her share that it costs nothing to be kind!
From the staff to the parents and patients, Amy shows the highest level of compassion and kindness, with deep respect for each individual. She includes staff with challenges and decision-making, asking for input, and listening to the input. She is reasonable and will ask questions to clarify understanding, she will pause to learn more about situations and is not one to jump into something without all known information and make a rash decision.
Amy will work diligently to resolve issues, examples not limited to, but often common issues include supply shortages, training new staff, staff shortages, and equipment failure are just a few I can think of. One of the biggest supporters of Mary Bridge, Amy always looks at challenges in a leadership style and what can she do to make improvements; not just delegating to others but making a difference herself including others! Amy is a true Team Builder and is often sought out by other leaders for her input and ideas. Amy is trustworthy, respectful, and compassionate, whether she is speaking with staff, parents, and patients. This is an individual that shines and if we took even one lesson from her leadership in life, we would be a better person.
