Amy is not just a nurse. She is a champion of establishing/building/maintaining standard work in primary care. She is heavily involved in patient safety, rolling out vaccines. In 2024, she has helped roll out Rotarix vaccine, Vaxelis vaccine, establish standard care and education for all vaccines including new COVID 2024-2025 and Beyfortus vaccine. She is an educator to all medical assistants in primary care. She is also a vital member of protocol committee, writing and reviewing protocols. I have leaned on her many times to submit tickets to correct vaccine dosages in Cerner and avoid patient harm. Amy does not hesitate to take on new roles/jobs. She is also helping establish the Cerner portal messaging protocol and the education that will go to the nursing team with this rollout across IUHP. I cannot thank her enough!
