It is with the greatest of pleasure that I recommend Amy Mowery for the DAISY Award honor. When my husband was in a state of uncontrolled bleeding, Amy was doing her part to keep my husband alive. She had been applying pressure to stop the arterial bleeding for a period of time. When they came to take him down for the ultrasound, Amy rode on the gurney, alongside of him still applying pressure the entire time. Once he was hospitalized, Amy would check on him and give us words of encouragement. Her work was above and beyond and I will forever be grateful to this excellent nurse. She is worthy of these honors.
