Amy Mudd, RN
Amy is an Extraordinary Nurse and caregiver who gave 100% and more to ensure my recovery from recent surgery to my cervical spine. She was detailed, thorough, consistent, and genuine in her care for me during my four days at LMH Health. She provided excellent care not only for me but for my wife and daughter who attended me during my stay. Amy consistently did "and then some" all the while taking care of me and up to five other patients at the same time. I felt completely cared for and listened to during my stay.
This was my second major surgery in four months at LMH Health and Amy is a standout example of excellence in nursing.
At one point, she noted that my blood sugars were rising to alarming levels near 300. She immediately reacted, contacted the hospitalist for additional insulin, and then continued to follow up until it dropped to acceptable levels. She explained to me that it was a reaction to the steroids I was given during treatment and not the result of my bland liquid diet, which I was on for two days.
