Amy is always a pleasure to work with, but on this certain case she went even more above and beyond. We had an organ donor on another unit and Amy got floated in the middle of her shift to take care of him despite this. She jumped right in and with the most positive attitude completed many very busy tasks quickly. Time was of the essence to honor this patient and the family's wishes and she was perfect for the job. Amy didn’t let a very busy clinical night stop her from caring for this grieving family, too. She created a beautiful bond with his wife, she also made several keepsakes for her to remember her loved on by. Amy’s dedication to this family didn’t stop at shift change. She offered to stay past her shift to be with the wife and care for the donor until people received the gift of life. Thanks to Amy’s clinical work, the family also had the best support system in their time of need. Amy is the best and truly deserves a DAISY!
