July 2026 Honoree
Amy Neubert, RN, BSN
I am honored to recognize Amy for her exceptional clinical skill, unwavering dedication, and consistently positive presence. I first had the opportunity to work alongside Amy many years ago as an inpatient RN, and for the past four and a half years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with her in an outpatient wound clinic setting. Across both environments, she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt, lead, and provide outstanding patient care.
One of Amy’s most notable strengths is her ability to manage a complex and fast-paced clinical workload with grace and efficiency. She skillfully balances multiple responsibilities, including meticulous patient follow-up, timely triage, and coordination of care, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. Her triage skills are exceptional; she consistently identifies urgent concerns, prioritizes appropriately, and initiates interventions that reflect strong clinical judgment.
Her critical thinking abilities, combined with a deep and continually expanding knowledge of wound care and management, make her an invaluable resource to both patients and colleagues.
A recent example that highlights Amy’s dedication and leadership is her response to ongoing staffing challenges. During a prolonged leave of absence of a key team member, she stepped up to take on significantly increased responsibility. She not only absorbed a higher patient load in an already busy clinic but also played a central role in training and supporting PRN nursing staff who were stepping in to help cover.
Despite these added demands, she maintained the same high standard of care, ensuring continuity, safety, and a positive experience for patients. Her ability to remain organized, approachable, and effective under these circumstances speaks volumes about her professionalism and commitment.
Equally important is her positive attitude, which has a meaningful impact on the entire team and the patients she serves. Amy approaches each day with professionalism, kindness, and resilience, even in challenging situations. Her willingness to learn and grow is evident in her ongoing pursuit of knowledge and openness to new techniques and perspectives in wound care. She actively seeks opportunities to improve her practice and shares that knowledge generously with others.
In addition, Amy excels in interdisciplinary collaboration. She communicates effectively with providers, therapists, and support staff, fostering a team-based approach that enhances patient outcomes. Her ability to build strong working relationships contributes to a cohesive and supportive clinical environment where patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
Amy exemplifies the values of compassion, excellence, and teamwork. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with her closely every day. Her contributions consistently elevate the standard of care, and she is deeply deserving of this recognition through the DAISY Award.
