Amy took charge of my wife with a sense of compassion and grace.
I have a lot of anxiety, and this was my first time being admitted to a hospital. I had a panic attack. Amy was very understanding and accommodating. Particularly, we talked about grounding techniques. She gave me a cold compress for my neck, ice water, and stuff to fidget with. But most importantly, she made me feel safe and that it was ok. She was understanding and caring, and it helped me so much.
As a spouse admitting their partner to the hospital for the first time, I was terrified of leaving my wife alone overnight. She struggles with social anxiety, and was moved into an adjoining room after a long day in the ICU. Amy took charge of my wife with a sense of compassion and grace. Amy listened to me, acknowledged what I said, and managed my expectations without making me feel belittled. I left feeling at peace and confident that the love of my life was in good hands.
