This certain day was extremely busy in the OR and several unexpected events happened to complicate the day, including a code blue in the OR holding area. Due to the nature of the day and the delays, the last patient had to be moved to the next morning's schedule as a first start. This patient and his wife did not have a ride to go home until after 6:00 pm so Amy took the patient and his wife home herself so they would not have to wait for 2-3 hours for their daughter to arrive or pay for an Uber. It was an exhausting long day yet Amy extended her day even more to help our patient and did it with her awesome, positive, bubbly attitude!
