May 2010 Honoree
amy penton, RN
Amy provided to the family: Compassionate care, caring respect, and excellence in this life-changing situation. She is creative with each baby’s memento—leaving heartfelt caring and love in each memory book, each set of molds, and each picture taken. She is a leader on the unit with families experiencing loss. She also helps the nursing team by mentoring younger nurses being a presence/caregiver, getting supplies for creating those memory pieces, following-up with her patients long after they have left—quietly creating a memory of caring for these families. Thank you Amy!
Thank you, Amy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
