She made me feel as if I was her only patient and her top priority!
This nurse’s clinical skills and especially her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that your patients, families, and staff should recognize as an outstanding role model. I was most fortunate to be placed under the care of this nurse for my initial chemo infusion - a day I will never forget. Although I had done my research and talked with many breast cancer survivors, I didn't know what to expect as everyone's situation is different. This nurse’s genuine concern for me, her confidence, and her outgoing personality had an immediate positive impact on me! She made me feel as if I was her only patient and her top priority! I know for a fact she had other patients at the same time for whom she was devoting just as much attention and care. Somehow she was just amazing and treated me like a Queen! This nurse has continued throughout my numerous chemo sessions to be most professional, confident, compassionate, and devoted to her career and her patients! She has made what could have been a daunting experience something I actually look forward to!! This nurse is a “Ray of Sunshine” for infusion patients and deserves special recognition. All of your infusion nurses are amazing! But this nurse is Outstanding! She is very thorough in making sure everything is done as per the doctor's orders.
She questioned some of my lab work results and did not hesitate to contact my oncologist with her concerns. In addition, she was most patient with me during my “cool cap” sessions which can extend chemo for 4 to 5 hours longer than usual. She made it her mission to keep me comfortable and pain-free. CTCA is fortunate to have this nurse on staff and I am blessed to know her!
