In the emergency room environment, it appears as though people pass in and out, they get admitted or sent on their way after treatment. Interactions may be somewhat brief but can be memorable. This nurse made an impact on various patients and their families receiving multiple nominations. A mother of a patient diagnosed with Lemeirre Syndrome was so touched by this nurse staying after her shift ended to make sure this scared patient was settled in his ICU room. She also came up to visit him when he was in his regular room. She continued saying, "I am so thankful for the entire Inova Staff but especially for Amy Peters."
