Amy volunteered to take care of two children, ages 7 and 8, while their mother was rushed back for an unexpected C-section. Their Mother came in for routine testing, however, the test results showed the baby needed to be delivered quickly. There were no available family or friends to help with the kids during this time. However, Amy offered to help. She took them to get snacks and drew pictures while they waited, ensuring they were kept calm and safe until family could arrive. We believed that Amy went above and beyond what was expected to provide warm-hearted and thoughtful care for these children while they waited to be reunited with their Mom. Offering compassionate support to this family in their time of need is a true testament to Amy’s character.
