July 2019 Honoree
amy sandecki, RN
First and foremost, I would like to give credit where credit is due. All of the nursing staff on the 2nd floor were wonderful, kind, caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable.
I have been in dozens of hospitals in the U.S. and have had interactions with many, many nurses; however, Amy will forever stand out.
Amy answered my questions, treated me with respect, not only listened to me but HEARD me. I hit a wall emotionally and physically. Amy sat on my bed, looked at me, and I saw the true dedication to her job. She cares and it showed in her eyes.
I asked for her to be my nurse the next day, and to my surprise, she had asked to care for me. I did not feel as though I was a burden, as I have in the past. I never felt a question wasn't worth asking or a request too large.
I and future patients are blessed to cross paths with her. There is always that one person that makes a difference, and that person is Amy!

Thank you, Amy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
