My grandfather recently spent his final days in Hospice Care. I have had experiences with caring and compassionate nurses before, however, Amy took those characteristics to a whole different level. Amy's expertise with dying patients was so helpful during my grandfather's period of declining health. We knew my grandfather didn't have a lot of time left, and Amy helped us understand what he was experiencing and what we as a family could expect as the end grew closer. Amy's nursing capabilities are not only exceptional, but her ability to comfort my family was priceless.
She went above and beyond to accommodate my large family and regularly checked to see if we had any questions, concerns, or other needs. We looked forward to seeing her each night because she always made us feel that my grandfather was her number one priority, as well as his family.
Losing a family member is never easy, but we are so thankful that we had Amy on this journey with us. She gave us a sense of peace and comfort that allowed us to endure a difficult situation with minimal fear. Amy is a DAISY Nurse and her compassion for others is a blessing to both patients and families.
