The fact that Amy is working on the Dublin campus as a reassigned nurse during the COVID-19 Pandemic is a testimony to her commitment to the mission of caring for Veterans.
Amy received nominations from several Veterans. A Veteran who only goes to the clinic for lab noted that Amy always asks how he is doing, making him feel like he matters. He stated that "when he transfers his care to the Tifton Clinic, he wants Amy to take care of him." Amy was described by another Veteran as being, "helpful, knowledgeable, understanding, caring, grounded, humble, and someone who goes above and beyond." She was also described as a true professional who is more than a nurse, but a friend." Another Veteran added that she is "someone who really cares and who they can always rely on", noting that the VA would be a much better place if every nurse was as awesome as she is.
