I wish to nominate Amy Tozer from the MCH-Augusta unit for the DAISY Award. This nurse demonstrates the best in clinical skill, caring and compassion, exemplary service and a commitment to excellence……….
MaineGeneral Medical Center and the MCH unit are fortunate to have Amy Tozer as a member of our great team of nurses. Amy is always positive and can bring a smile to anyone’s face just by her upbeat and cheery nature. She consistently gives of herself every shift and always demonstrates compassion and caring to her patients, their families as well as her MaineGeneral Family.
Amy adapts well to any change and sees change as an opportunity for growth. She consistently works proactively to find solutions to any problems or situations that may occur.
Amy is always respectful and is liked by anyone that has had the privilege to meet her. Patients tell me everyday what a great nurse she is, how caring she is and how much they have appreciated her. Most families want to take her home with them.
Amy is a very hard worker. Each and every coworker describes how she is willingly helps them, often without even being asked. She has a gift to see what is needed to make a smooth workflow and proactively helps where ever and when ever she can.
Amy is always willing to adjust her schedule, pick up extra time or do whatever best meets the needs of the unit and her coworkers. She is chairperson of A-5’s partnership council, the Central Partnership Council and the unit based RBC implementation team.
Amy is well respected. The “seasoned nurses” of MCH gave Amy the ultimate compliment one day. They asked that Amy provide them with an inservice giving them the knowledge to create the kind of patient satisfaction her care provides.
Amy has practiced the 5 Core Behaviors from her date of hire. She definitely gives her best each and every day and is DESERVING of this Nursing recognition.
