Amy was my CRNA for the delivery of our first child. After being induced and passing 24 hours with no progress we had decided that a C-Section would be the next step. Amy was there to explain the spinal and pain management, as well as to assure us that we were making the best decision for mom and baby.

Once in the OR, Amy was not only managing my pain and spinal but was taking pictures on my husband’s phone for us so he could focus on watching the delivery. She helped him relax when it was time to hold our son, G, for the first time after we found out that our little guy was much smaller than anyone anticipated. He only weighed 4 pounds 9 ounces, had a little trouble breathing, and needed to go to NICU.

Amy was so sweet and wiped my eyes as I cried after hearing the news and reassured me that he was going to be okay and that we 100% made the right decision with the C-section. She made us feel so much more comfortable, and I truly don't think we could have done it without her!
