Guardian Air flight nurses Paula Clark and Amy Wiatrolik were present at Sunrise Medical Center during the mass shooting in Las Vegas. These two nurses happened to be at Sunrise Medical Center delivering a patient when the notification came through that the ER would be receiving victims from a mass shooting. Paula and Amy quickly made the decision to offer their assistance. Unbeknownst to them, many victims would arrive quickly overwhelming the staff and resources. They stayed for hours and worked alongside the doctors and nurses in the Sunrise ER providing lifesaving care to countless victims. They witnessed the horrendous scene of innocent people hurting and suffering. Sunrise Medical Center was lucky to have by chance two extra, very capable nurses available to them when this mass casualty occurred.
Paula and Amy proudly represented the nursing profession and FMC through the services they provided to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting incident
Thank you, Paula and Amy, for the lives you saved that day!
