Amy Young was one of the nurses working the night my dad was brought into the ED. Once I arrived and heard what was happening I went to the bathroom with a family friend and broke down. Amy followed us in seeing what was happening. She got me cold rags, put my hair up for me, and helped me as much as she could at the time. Then she came to my dad's visitation and gave me encouraging words. THEN I found out that she sent me a beautiful decorative engraved stone. She went above and beyond her nursing duties to help me and make sure I was okay and that is why she deserves the DAISY Award!
