She helped us understand and navigate the hardest day of our lives as we knew my mom would soon pass away.
My mother came to the ICU and stayed for the last 10 days of her life. We were blessed with Ana's care several times, including her last day before comfort care/hospice. As primary caregiver, she took just as good of care of me as well as my mother. I knew she was in excellent hands with Ana, and she even encouraged me to leave for a bit of respite to attend my best friend's mother's funeral the day before my own mother died. Ana comforted my family and made heartbeat strips in jars as a last memory and keepsake for our family. She helped us understand and navigate the hardest day of our lives as we knew my mom would soon pass away. Mother's funeral was largely attended and I heard from co-workers that Ana even attended her services. From start to finish, she was beyond caring and compassionate to both me and my mother. I will forever remember her kindness and compassion during this tragic and hard time in our lives. Her level of service and commitment is definitely noteworthy and should be honored.
