I am taking a very expensive cancer drug and I need to get it for a 90-day supply when 30 days is the norm. Last year they gave me an override for 90 days. This year they have said no so I started an exception process which took over 2 months. Anna had to work with the insurance company for that whole time giving them prior authorization from Dr. W. The last week before I got the override she was on the phone for at least 40 minutes each time. She was so compassionate and helpful as she understood my frustrations and why the override was important to me. She worked diligently and constantly to help me every time I called. She never once complained and shared in the final victory when we got approval. I have worked with her for over 8 years and she is also so helpful, caring, and understanding. She is absolutely the best nurse I have ever worked with.

I have worked with Ana for nearly five years. Over that time, she has demonstrated a willingness to help her colleagues no matter how busy she is. She has precepted multiple nurses including myself with patience, wisdom, and grace. She shows such care and compassion for her patients and does not waver in her commitment to supporting her patients. She is calm despite the hectic and sometimes chaotic demands placed on her. I admire her ability to keep her composure ad to show indefatigable grace to me and our colleagues. Our department has undergone many changes and challenges for a long time, yet Ana stays positive. She is an encouragement to me to keep my head up and to persevere because what we do is important. I hope she knows how great an impact she has made on me, our department, and our patients!
