Ana Vargas, BSN, RN

I was very nervous and under a lot of stress due to being here for a mastectomy for my breast cancer. I have had experiences in the past where I felt like I was just another patient or number for the hospital but that was not the case with Ana. She took the time to properly introduce herself from the very beginning and make me feel safe and secure in her care. Her being a Spanish speaker was a huge bonus for me and made my stay a lot more comfortable. Whenever I needed to go to the bathroom, her response time to me pressing the help button was very fast and efficient and she always made sure I wasn’t in any pain and that I had the proper medication I required. Besides just my care, she actually stayed and talked to me a while and listened to my life and she made me feel as if I had a friend here to be there for me during my day. A huge thank you to Ana and for her excellence as a nurse.
