Anastasia Zay Zay Diaz, RN, BSN

Every shift that Anastasia is scheduled in our Mental Health "green pod", I watch her go above and beyond to provide the most compassionate care to an extremely vulnerable patient population. Anastasia is able to remain calm in even the most chaotic situations. She spends time with all her patients to tailor their care while factoring in physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. With every patient, she is a fierce advocate and makes a point to grow connections, regardless of all outside factors.

As I write this, I find myself getting emotional because in today's healthcare setting, it is hard to find time to connect so deeply to each of our patients, but somehow, she always finds time. I love being able to collaborate with her to provide the best outcomes for our mental/ behavioral health patients. Our ER team and our patient population are so lucky to have a nurse like Anastasia.
