Ancy's DAISY nomination stands out not only for her advocacy and actions but because it was a fellow DAISY Honoree, unbeknownst to Ancy, that recognized her as deserving of The DAISY Award. Ancy's patient, an Honoree 12 years prior, wrote that Ancy "embodies the concepts of care and compassion that are so highly prized in the concept of the culture of The DAISY Foundation."
The patient detailed how Ancy compassionately intervened and professionally advocated for her which enabled imaging to be ordered that was previously met with obstacles. The patient went on to share that "Ancy made a huge difference in my perception of my hospital stay by ministering her excellent philosophy. I was blessed to have her care for me."
