I was blessed to have as my nurse, Ancy for this hospital stay. It was an extremely stressful situation for myself as the patient, and for my family. My first night presented many challenges for me. Ancy listened to my concerns, and with her gentle touch and kind demeanor, reassured me all would be alright. Ancy listened with empathy to my concerns and without saying a word to me, went to my doctor to advocate on my behalf. With Ancy doing this, my doctor came to speak to me again about my concerns and she listened to me. Even my doctor commented on the level of care and concern Ancy had for me as her patient. She saw me as a whole person and took that into consideration when she sought out the best care possible for me as her patient. At each shift change, she took the time to introduce me to the staff, relay to them any concerns I was having and to leave me feeling at ease during the transition. She was a true blessing to me.
