He knew he was not working on the day of the procedure, so he made sure it was on J's chart. However, he also made several paper signs around the nurses' station about the premeds. What a guy.
Anders is the best nurse ever. In my husband’s lifetime, he has had one other nurse (from Mercy whom we nominated for a DAISY Award years ago) who shares that honorable title. Anders is a remarkable young man. He throws himself totally into his patients and his work. The amazing part is he always does it with a big smile on his face.

He continuously fills his day with kind words and a Christian spirit! There is an expression that says, “Actions speak louder than words.” Anders stepped into action for J and me. He knew I was so concerned about J getting those terrible hives from the contrast dye used in his angioplasty procedure if he didn’t take his premeds three times. He knew he was not working on the day of the procedure, so he made sure it was on J's chart. However, he also made several paper signs around the nurses' station about the premeds. What a guy.

Anders came into our room often to see that J was:
Comfortable or needed anything.
Turned him side to side and propped his pillows.
Changed him with the CNAs.
Got extra warm blankets for him.
Even got me warm blankets.
Talked compassionately to us.

We were so blessed to have had Anders cross our paths when we came here. We are big fans of Amita Mercy! J has had 2 hip replacements, a pacemaker, a Watchman, and pneumonia here. We’ve been so fortunate to have had great care here through the years. The doctors, nurses, CNAs, dialysis workers, housekeeping, maintenance, food people and all staff members (that I may have forgotten to mention) get accolades too. You all are appreciated. You do make a very big difference in the lives of others. God bless you for the outstanding work you do!
