It is impossible to summarize in a few words what kind of nurse Andrea is. Since Andrea's first years in nursing, she cared for a unique and complex group of patients. I have met Andrea in 2008, she has been my only nurse since, in the department of endocrinology. Andrea is a born hard worker, has very high work ethics and has made countless contributions to help to make the Endocrinology and Diabetes clinic a successful clinic. Andrea embraces challenges and changes with a positive and cheering attitude. Andrea continuously shows the physicians what it means to feel supported. Andrea is a great team member, whether it be staying late to help other nurses/medical assistants finish their work, talking patients through their first time on insulin, or managing high patient volumes at the clinic and on the phones. Andrea has been invaluable in this role and works tirelessly to enable our practice to succeed. Andrea does whatever it takes to best support all the doctors in the department. For that, Andrea is deserving of this DAISY Award!
