Andrea Clenney, RN

When I think about The DAISY Award, it recognizes a nurse for the compassionate care they provide in whatever role they serve. Andrea exemplifies this characteristic in her role as MCS consistently. Whether she is interacting with patients, the team, or her colleagues, her approach is always with kindness. She consistently starts her interactions with the positive and then communicates the opportunities. She takes the initiative to step in wherever she is needed, whether it is to give extra support to a struggling FA, assist with gaps in ROD coverage to assist teams, or supporting her fellow MCSs. She covers 2 regions that include 4 states and significant geography. Her excellent organizational skills have been key to managing all the tasks at hand. She has been successful in building relationships with her team throughout the regions, including multiple RODs throughout the last two years. She does all of this with a positive “can do” attitude. She has stepped up to support our Divisional No Show Champ, who was struggling with this role. She recognizes team success and celebrates these accomplishments.
