Andrea exemplifies our vision and values every day as a nurse leading a consulting team, her client interactions and her ability to use her nursing background to develop meaningful relationships at her client sites.
Andrea has led many clinical implementations, but she has also led many revenue cycle installs as well. With our clinically driven revenue cycle approach, Andrea has been able to successfully lead, direct and consult with our clients as well as our install team in a meaningful way.
Andrea leads by example and creates an environment of mutual respect and fosters an environment that emphasizes the strength gained from working as a team.
Andrea focuses on bringing multiple parties together to engage and collaborate to deliver a superior engagement to our clients. Including 3rd party resources, vendors, client teams and internal resources.
At her work at West Tennessee, Andrea demonstrated the rare ability to allow you to own and independently lead your project, while still being accessible and able to assist in providing guidance when it was needed. She was able to understand both the "big picture" perspective and also in a very comprehensive capacity. Andrea managed to transition the client relationship from a rocky sometimes tenuous relationship at the end of the Ambulatory project to a strong alliance for Cerner. Another relationship that she helped to reconstruct was our relationship and collaborative engagement with Deloitte. This alliance was a strategic win that allowed us to deliver a better outcome for West Tennessee Healthcare. Andrea was also the key part of building strong partnership with the physician leadership, nursing staff everyone on the team loved working with and for Andrea, she was respectful of everyone's opinions and always listened, she was engaged with the work and making sure everyone was doing what needed to be done and she always carried herself well and we respected her for commitment to her project team and to the client and clinicians who were working at the solution design level of the project.

Andrea Deboles has the extraordinary ability to integrate the principles and perspectives of a nurse into a non-traditional nursing role. As an Engagement Executive - the nursing background seems to be a bit rare and initially may seem like a place where the clinical perspective could get overlooked. In reality, she is able to elevate the Engagement Executive role and relevance, with her nursing viewpoint and experience, to a completely different level of collaboration for our clients.
Our project was profoundly positively impacted by her leadership and guidance, rooted in her many years in the traditional nursing role earlier in her career. I witnessed countless interactions where her nursing perspective injected a completely different "angle" into the conversation, and often led to decisions and solution build that ensured we didn't lose the primary objective, which is superior patient care.
She built a strong alliance with not only those engaged in the leadership of the project, including the C-Suite - but also the nursing staff and clinicians who were working at the solution design level of the project. Our project at West Tennessee included both Clinical and Revenue Cycle applications, and it was easy to miss the patient perspective, especially in Revenue Cycle conversations, but she was always there to provide the nursing or patient care viewpoint and introduce the other side of the equation that we needed to consider.
Even in our personal conversations, the nursing "hat" would always shine and on many occasions, I was the recipient of her nursing perspective. There are times on a project where you encounter "life" and Andrea has a unique way of listening, providing context and objectivity, and making you walk away from the conversation feeling maybe a little more "healed" than when you started.
Andrea was a nurse in the more traditional direct patient care setting, for many years prior to embarking on this side of her career. And while her role today at Cerner, may be a non-traditional setting for a nurse, she has never lost the nurse's "heart" and desire to be a part of the healing process. I feel that Andrea advocates the principles and her passion for nursing in such an effective way each and every day here at Cerner.
The patients may not be able to see or understand how Andreas's nursing background help make their recovery and healing journey better, but I guarantee she has had a positive impact, and our Cerner engagements are so fortunate to have her leadership.
