I recently took an unexpected visit to the ER at WRMC. While the situation turned out to be one devastating to me and my husband (we had a miscarriage), I know the experience could have been worse for us had we not encountered some wonderful people while we were there.
My nurse's name was Andrea Duncan, and she was phenomenal! She was polite and calm (when I was not feeling calm), yet she showed so much concern for our situation. She made sure and told me everything she was going to do before she did it, would ask if I had any questions, took time to answer my questions (in detail), was honest with me, and went above and beyond to accommodate me while I was there. She was so kind and understanding. I was also so impressed with her skills. She was very gentle and careful with every task while still being quick and efficient. She really made the entire process easier on me and helped to calm me down.
She is an exceptionally wonderful nurse, and I appreciate her more than I can say. She greatly exceeded my expectations! If there is such an award as "Nurse of the Year," I would most definitely say she deserved it! I will never forget that day and I will also never forget the amazing care and kindness I was given that day by my nurse, Andrea.
